Here he meets an army of rats, a cat as tall as a house, and a mad King. Thomas soon learns that to return home he must find a Golden Staircase. But in to do that he must save a princess from a tower, fight an army of man-sized cockroaches, and cross a desert of nothing, all the while battling a giant cockatoo.
A children's story that can be enjoyed by adults.
